Welcome to BIOTRANS 2027 – the International Symposium on Biocatalysis and Biotransformations, part of the long-standing BIOTRANS conference series. On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to Oviedo, the capital of Asturias in northern Spain, and to host you at the remarkable Palacio de Congresos de Oviedo, designed by Santiago Calatrava.
BIOTRANS is internationally recognised as a key meeting point for researchers and professionals working at the interface of chemistry, biology and biotechnology. The symposium provides a unique platform to present and discuss the latest developments in enzyme discovery, protein engineering, synthetic biology, biotransformations, chemoenzymatic approaches and the design of sustainable catalytic processes. With a strong participation from both academia and industry, BIOTRANS promotes scientific exchange and highlights new applications of biocatalysis in pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, materials and sustainable manufacturing.
